Meeting the Resistance

J.C. was lying in a bed. He was dreaming about his family. He was remembering all the training he learned, along with the emeralds his parents found and his sword. J.C. slowly opens his eyes and placed his hand on his head.

J.C.: Another vision. The same one I had since my family disappeared. How long has it been?

Suddenly, J.C. started hearing voices. He gets up and walks towards the door. He looks to see a group of people talking.

Sonic: The guards found him passed out. They said he and his sister saved a group of people from a SWAT-Bot convoy.

Amy: By themselves?

Sonic: Yes.

Knuckles: For all we know, he could be working for Eggman.

Tails: You're overreacting, Knuckles. If he was working for Eggman, would he even be on our side?

Knuckles: I'm just worried about trusting him, that's all.

Amy: Well, we can't just get rid of him. He needs help.

The four turned around and looked to see that J.C. was awake.

Sonic: Oh, you're awake.

J.C.: Where am I?

Amy: You were passed out, so we took you to Sonic's house.

Tails: I'm Miles Prower, but you can call me, "Tails".

Amy: My name's Amy Rose. This is Knuckles.

Knuckles: Hey. So, what's your name?

J.C.: J.C. the Hybrid.

Sonic: Glad you're awake. The others and I were discussing about taking you to Sally.

J.C.: First of all, who's Sally? Second, where's my sister?

Sonic: Sally Acorn is one of the leaders here in this colony. As for your sister, she's coming back. She said she was getting food for you.

Suddenly, the door opens. Suki comes in with the food and sees that J.C. was awake.

Suki: Oh, J.C., you're finally awake!

J.C.: What happened, Suki?

Suki: You passed out, so the others brought you here.

J.C.: Anything happened?

Suki: I told them about what happened to us after we got separated from Sonic, plus Sonia and Manic are going to show us around later.

J.C.: Okay.

Sonic: First, I'll take you both to Sally. It would be nice to have some more people around.

J.C. and Suki get their weapons and follow Sonic outside. They both look around the colony. There were huts, cabins, stores and lots of people, including the people J.C. and Suki saved. Some people looked at J.C. and Suki, wondering who they were. Others were talking about the SWAT-Bot convoy they both faced. Soon, J.C., Suki and Sonic arrived at a mansion.

Sonic: Here's the place.

(Sonic opens the door and they went inside)

They walked into a room where there, sitting by a desk, was Sally Acorn. Next to her was Bunnie and Antoine. Sally looks at J.C. and Suki and stands up.

Sally: So, you're the two mobians who attacked the SWAT-Bot convoy I heard about?

J.C.: Yes. Are you Sally Acorn?

Sally: Yes. Princess of the Acorn Kingdom and one of the leaders of Knothole.

Suki: "Knothole"?

Sonic: That's the name of this colony. It was built underground with multiple tunnels and underneath a forest.

J.C.: Right under their noses? That is clever.

Sally: Thanks. We would all be roboticized by now if not for Sonic and his siblings. They're one of the only hope Mobius has left.

Suki: What do you mean, "Only hope for Mobius"?

Sally: Well, we might as well tell you about what happened.

Sally and Sonic explained everything. From Eggman and his robots to the origin of the resistance. Afterwards, J.C. and Suki told them about themselves.

Sally: We're sorry. Well, you're welcome to stay with us. We could use more people, anyway.

J.C.: Really? You'd do that.

Sonic: We need all the people we can get if we want to defeat Eggman.

(J.C. and Suki looks at each other)

Both: We're in.

(Sally smiles and held out her hand)

Sally: Welcome to the Freedom Fighters of Knothole, J.C. and Suki.

(They shook hands)

Sonic: Come on, my siblings and I will show you around.

J.C. and Suki followed Sonic outside. Sonia and Manic were waiting outside.

Sonic: So, ready for the tour?

J.C.: Yep.

The five of them walked around town. They saw a lot of places and a variety of good people. Hours passed and it was starting to get dark. The group decided to head home.

Sonic: We might as well head home.

Sonia: Want to spend the night with us, guys?

Suki: Sure.

J.C.: What about Knuckles, Amy and Tails?

Sonic: Don't worry, they're next to us. Come on, we'll take you guys inside.

They arrived at a house and went inside. After having a look around the place, they took them to the guest bedroom.

Sonia: You guys can spend the night here, if you want.

J.C.: Thanks. It'll be nice to get some sleep after the day we had.

Manic: You and the rest of us.

Sonic: We'll see you guys in the morning.

(The hedgehogs left)

J.C. and Suki decided to sleep in their underwear and started taking off their clothes. J.C. was wearing light blue briefs with red elastic and lightning bolts. Suki was wearing a light blue bra and panties with yellow stars and moons.

Suki: You know, J.C., I think it's a fun idea to sleep in our underwear. Way more comfortable than our clothes.

J.C.: I know. I haven't had this much fun since our family celebrated my parents' job for constructing cybernetics. We should do this more often.

J.C. and Suki lied down on the bed and pulled the covers over them.

Suki: Good night, bro.

J.C.: Good night, sis.

J.C. and Suki then drifted off to sleep.
